Ride to the Gate – Reschedules

Ride to the Gate 2022, a 300+ mile cycle from the National Memorial Arboretum to the Menin Gate in Belgium was postponed at short notice due to the passing of our late Queen Elizabeth II. This was a decision that was jointly taken with our event fundraising partner Haig Housing Trust and in discussion with our participants that are Veterans and Serving Members of the Armed Forces. It was the right decision to make.

Ride to the Gate has now been rescheduled to take place from the 17 – 19 April 2023. Those that were signed up for the original dates have committed their time and efforts to once again be involved. This event is hugely important to those that take part, its good for their mental well-being and keep the Act of Remembrance alive. Each cyclist will still carry a Poppy Wreath on their bike during the 3 day event and will be laid at the Menin Gate that list over 54,000 people that lost their lives during the Great War and have no known grave.

The fundraising page will remain open and can be found at the link below. We are also actively looking at sponsorship for the event from organisations/businesses. At the moment we have Allied Universal (Europe) as the cycle jersey sponsors, if you would like to individually sponsor the cyclist, support vehicle or digital flyers and have your organisations logo incorporated to show their support of this event, our Veterans and be part of Remembrance please email gavin@hiddenwarriors.co.uk or use the Ask for Help option on the homepage.

Thank you to everyone that has supported us so far and we look forward to bringing this event to you in April 2023. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ridetothegate
